둘째날이 밝았다. 많은 짐들이 아직 New york에 있었지만 youth hostel에서 배려를 해 준 덕분에 수건과 침구 등을 무료로 (원래는 유료) 이용할 수 있었다. 말로만 아니 영화 제목으로만 들어왔던 백야 현상에 적응하는 중에 여러번 느끼는 것이지만 이 곳은 여름에 해가 지지 않기 때문에 가딱 잘 못하다가는 엄청난 잠꾸러기가 아니면 불면증에 시달릴 수도 있을 것 같았다. 그래서 숙박 시설을 잡을 때 채광이 얼마나 잘되는지도 고려해야한다고 하는데 그 정도로 예민하진 않았다.
The second day. No sunset last night. It was white night that can break down your body clock. Because of white night, you can have trouble in sleeping enough or waking up in the morning. So, in some articles that introduce Iceland traveling, it is advised to consider lightening when you book accommodation, but in my case, it was not a big problem.

Reykjavik에는 youth hostel이 2개가 있는데 하나는 도심 근처에 그리고 우리가 이용했던 약간 시외의 youth hostel이 그 것들이다. 시외의 youth hostel은 캠핑장과 함께 있고 주변에 여러 스포츠시설도 많이 있어 휴식을 취하기에는 안성맞춤이지만 시내로 진입하기 위해서는 아무래도 버스를 이용해야되서 접근성면에서는 조금 떨어지지는게 사실이다. 하지만 그리 멀지 않은 Iceland에서 가장 좋다는 수영장을 이용할 수 있는 엄청난 장점도 있다. 아이슬란드는 지열을 이용한 수영장을 어지간한 도시에 구비하고 있었는데 특히 캠핑장처럼 숙박시설의 샤워시설이 그닥 좋지 않거나 번잡함을 피하고 싶을 때마다 아침에 일어나면 따로 씻지 않고 바로 수영장으로 향했었다.
Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland has two youth hostels, one located in the city and the other in the relatively outer bound. We chose the other one, even though it is a little far away from the city. Of course, we had to set our time table with the commuting time from our hostel to the city, but our hostel was very good, well equipped and calm enough to compensate for this wasted time. Do not miss enjoying swimming in the best swimming pool in Iceland near the hostel. Most Icelandic swimming pools pull out geothermal heated water from underground, so you may be able to relax and recharge in the warm pool. Using a swimming pool can be a good option if you accommodate in the hotel not well-equipped shower booth or camping without hot water.

Reykjavik의 첫 아침식사. 씨리얼과 빵 조각 그리고 약간의 과일. 아무래도 농사를 많이 짓는 나라가 아니라 특별한 건 없었다. 그냥 밀가루로 배채우는 느낌. 둘째날 시작이다.
