I could see glacier Langökull on the mountains even though it was quite a difficult to figure out whether it was cloud or glacier. The water from melted glacier Langökull flows down and makes Gullfoss a.k.a golden waterfall. Gullfoss is one of the most famous attractives, but it was within a hair´s breadth of destruction during 1920. The gigantic amount of water in this fall was perfect for a hydroelectric project and foreign capital tried to dam this river. However, thanks to a number of protests, for instance, walk of Sigriður Tomasson, an icelacdic woman to Reykjavik, the plan was nullifed.
In the entrance, we had renown lamb soup as dinner. It was good, but not so special. Behind the cafeteria, we could find a tarmac path that continued to the water. "There is Gullfoss!!!"
