Egilsstaðir. The transportation hub located on the east of Iceland. If you pass by this small town, you can reach volcanic area, Mars-like area. To be honest, there is no attraction in this town except lake Logurinn, but you need to refill fuel for your car and yourself. In spite of its tiny size, this town has fully equipped stores. If you forget to bring basic camping gears for enjoying Icelandic nature, it deserves to drop by the camping store. Just keep in mind that whatever you will buy, you will be shocked by the incredibly high prices. We bought just a pan as small as my palm, but it was around 100 USD.
On the top of the hill in this town, we could find a library which had a small museum that introduced east Icelandic history or tradition. The important thing you need to remember is there is free-Wifi. On the road, we were satisfied with a kind of remote status away from our real world, but sometimes, we could not lose a kind of bonds with it such as e-mail and news. In this pretty house, we checked all scores of World cup 2010 that we had missed. As well, Koreas team schedules were marked on our calendar even though it was very confused because of different time zone.
After that, we grasped something to eat. Always made me happy.
